| Cryogenics is used to improve the performance for a wide variety of sporting equipment. The following is a description of items that we treat and the benefits that our customers see after the cryogenic tempering process has been done on their equipment. We also work with other equipment on an experimental basis. Call to discuss your requirements. |
| Aluminum Ball Bat | ||
| The aluminum is stronger, so the ball comes off the bat much faster so the ball fly's farther. We have several customers who say that their team use only 1 bat per game, yes the Cryo'd bat. We also think that the bat will last much longer and be less likely to dent, even in cooler weather. Because the aluminum is stress relieved, the bat transmits much less vibration through the bat. So when you knock one over the fence, the bat will not sting you. The bat is obviously different than before, there are many instances where the opposing pitcher has asked the umpire to check the bat, suspecting they are playing with a titanium bat (which is illegal). Cryo'd aluminum baseball and softball bats are legal. One of the nice things about Cryo'd items is that in most cases it is impossible to tell if an item has been Cryo'd or not. | ||

| Golf Balls | |||
| The Cryo'd golf balls are a real hit. Most customers claim they get between 15-30 yards more distance on their drives. Some say they get as much as 40 to 50 yards. For the older golfer, this seems to give them the distance that they may have lost over the years. The balls actually last 3 times longer and the cover stays cleaner. The soft cover balata balls respond especially well. The balls normally last only a few holes to 1 round at the most before, but after tempering, customers say they have played the same balata ball for 4 rounds with more distance. We suggest that you get whatever brand These Cryogenically Tempered Golf balls are Illegal for professional play. | |||

| Golf Clubs | |||||||
| Cryo'd golf clubs offer 3 improvements. The club will have a sweeter face, more solid feel and less vibration in your hands. We treat both steel and graphite shaft clubs. No benefits to wood clubs and shafts. There are a couple of drawbacks that you need to be aware of. There is a 30% chance that the grips may crack. The other drawback is that the plastic furl between the shaft and club head may break. Although it has not been a problem, it is possible that the epoxy holding the head to the shaft may become weakened at these extreme cold temperatures. | |||||||

| Knives | |
| The purpose of a good knife is to cut through an object with little effort. The advantage that an Cryo'd knife offers is that it will take a better edge and hold that edge 2 to 4 times longer (depending on the steel used). Knife makers say that they can sharpen a knife blind-folded and tell you if it has been Cryo'd or not. Be sure that the handle will handle up to 300F without melting. A Swiss army knife will not take the heat. Most good quality knives will. Wood, Stag and Bone handles will take the heat with only slight browning through the heat tempering process. | |
